Brent Barnhart met Angela Redai at a mutual friend’s party, on one of those quintessential New York City June evenings when the air is balmy and full of mischief. Ange was up to no good, but caught Brent’s eye. After a hilarious whirlwind first date downtown, Brent pursued Ange through the dog days of summer, fall, winter, spring, and summer again. The following October, he insisted on moving into her Greenwich Village apartment. Encroaching on her space was the only way to force Ange out of her beloved 9th Street abode, and into life’s next chapter. Nearly two years into their adventurous romance, Brent whisked Ange off to Japan and surprised her with a proposal. Two more years of pandemic-engagement have ensued, and it is high time for a wedding. The couple will marry in the bride’s Hungarian motherland this June.

. . .

We are closely following the war in Ukraine (and the pandemic), especially as Ange has family in Budapest and throughout Hungary. More than anything, we value the safety, security and health of our loved ones. Please prioritize yourselves and your families. You will be with us in our hearts regardless of whether you are comfortable being present at the celebration of our marriage.

With love,

Ange & Brent
